to conceive your second or did it happen naturally? How long did it accept to conceive DC2?

I accept PCOS and needed Clomid to conceive DD. I was very lucky and roughshod pregnant during my offset treatment bike. DD is 5 months and I'm virtually 37 so I'1000 beginning to think about the timing of DC2.

I realise I will probably demand treatment again and wonder what the likliehood is of it working quickly for a second time. DH and I are not using whatsoever contraception as seems footling indicate since I am diagnosed infertile but the hope is that nosotros manage a 2nd pregnancy naturally.

Please share your stories if you feel like it.

I posted this thread on Formulation but information technology hasn't been picked up there and so idea I'd endeavour a busier board.

I didn't have Clomid and I don't have a 2d yet, simply Jools Oliver got pregnant with her DD2 by accident without Clomid after taking it for the first!

I didn't either but my friend got pregnant with twins while taking Clomid and so had a 'surprise'. She was delighted.

She took it beacause of repeat miscarriages.

Practiced luck!

I took Metformin instead of Clomid and got pg first bicycle smile

And so got pg accidentally with ds2 wink just earlier ds1 was 1!

Good luck!

No I didn't. Not at all. grin I got pg 5 months after ds1 was built-in, non intentionally. We'd just had sexual practice about 4 times later ds1'due south nativity besides (ds1 was an em cs; in that location was lots of stuff going on in my life apart from ds1 to deal with, and so we...erm... took our middle off the brawl, once and kazam). I was just turned forty at the fourth dimension as well.

I took Clomid because of irregular ovulation rather than PCOS though, so information technology may be that having the baby just sort of kicked things into place, as I've been much more regular since then.

I took Clomid for my first. It took 7 cycles and 2 miscarriages to succeed.

For my 2nd dc, I took Clomid again and conceived on the 1st cycle. Pg progressed normally.

The problems for which I took Clomid in the starting time place seemed to resolve after the 2nd nascency (no ovulation, no periods), so perhaps if we'd tried for long plenty, we might have conceived naturally, who knows? However, there was already a 4.5 twelvemonth gap, then didn't desire to leave it to take chances.

Bloody ironic really, I was diagnosed as having had a premature menopause at the age of 27 and now I have raging signs of ovultion and the periods from hell and there is no mode I want whatsoever more babies !!

Good luck with ttc btw grin

Howdy Benji, I took clomid with my DS1, got pg on the commencement attempt. We had been trying earlier for 3 years and had a miscarriage during this time. Once DS was born, decided to leave things to run a risk as had so many problems before. My DS was 14 weeks one-time when i found out about DD1! She was born 3 days before his 1st birthday. Nosotros then had a coil fitted but information technology didn't suit so i had it removed and there was DD2! So yes it all seemed to exist kicked started after the first! I was diagnised with PCOS, since having my Dd2, i accept taken both the POP and combined pill equally there was no fashion i could go pg once again. The problem is i am now aware of how terrible i experience due to messing around with my hormones and have stopped using these contraceptives equally all my PCOS symptoms take returned! Good luck with your family planning! x

I too have PCOS - DD1 was unplanned and without help, DD2 took one cycle of Clomid, DD3 was without help (although I lost nearly a rock in the yr or then we were trying, which I call up helped). I'm now at my heaviest non-pregnant weight and havign regular cycles hmm.
I'm interested though, take yous been "diagnosed infertile" because of the PCOS, or considering of something else? Only PCOS doesn't ordinarily in itself cause "total infertility" - yous'd normally expect to have incredibly severe untreated symptoms before you'd exist properly infertile, rather than needing varying levels of intervention, but stil able to get significant.

I have PCOS, and needed quite a bit of fertility treatment to excogitate DS. I accept metformin anyway whether I'm TTC or non, but suspected it would be as difficult to excogitate child number ii as it was number 1.

Equally it turned out, I got pregnant very hands second time around, simply sadly miscarried in the offset few weeks. Conceived again side by side wheel and miscarried again. Conceived again in the next cycle, and am now 21 weeks. So I retrieve I tin can safely say my fertility issues have resolved themselves.

I needed Clomid 1st time round (8 years ttc), and now have a lovely son. We are quite shocked to have had a positive test this calendar week entirely naturally, afterwards only 2 months trying!! (and I'grand 37..) And so for me the answer is no, it looks like I don't need it again! (Our original diagnosis was 'unexplained')

I'd been wondering the aforementioned thing as you lot Benjy; have you lot asked your previous specialist whether its possible to find out whether you need Clomid again? (I didn't get round to going back to mine, and then I've no idea I'm afraid). Wishing you lot all the very best twenty
